FITNESS UPDATE: Consistency

I have not done a fitness update in a very long time, but this is my first one for 2015! The last time I wrote a fitness update, I was competing for Miss City of Orange and pageant prepping. A lot of ups and downs have happened since that day and it was so hard to stay consistent (especially during the holidays). Although I am proud of myself for staying consistent for a good period of time when I did had a consistent workout buddy throughout December. My friend Josie and I went to the gym every single day and I tried cycling for a bit. That cycling period was horrid, but it was fun for the time being. There were too many times where Josie and I would be in the cycling room for thirty minutes and I would think we are done, but I find out we are only “half way to the finish line.” All in all, cycling is not my cup of tea and I officially admire those who love cycling and do it often. So, since December, my daily gym exercises toned down to 2-3 times a week. My exercise remained consistent, but my eating habits hit rock bottom when I ate out at restaurants way too many times in a week. I would be at Korean BBQ one day, then a tofu house the next day, then eating lots and lots of sushi another day. Since Valentine’s Day, I’ve been avoiding eating out and replaced that with meal prepping. I’ve also increased my gym time to 3-4 times a week. Below you’ll find today’s food intake and some other health and fitness things I’ve been up to.

WHAT I ATE: (22 FEB 2015)
BREAKFAST Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal
SNACK Edamame
LUNCH Grilled Chicken Thin Crust Pizza
SNACK Hummus and Pita Grain Chips
DINNER Salmon, Grilled Onions, Tofu, Asparagus, and Kale
WATER 32 oz (about 4 cups of water)
