[ Motivation Monday #20 ] I know, I know… I am a day late on this week’s #MotivationMonday. But who says you can’t post a MotivationMonday on a Tuesday? Since my last final on Thursday, I have been resting and fully embracing the graduation feels. I was going to skip out on this week’s post, but the guilt set in when I realized how many people told me how much they look forward to reading my MM posts. Of course I want to start your week off right and I love being there for you all (even if it is through a blog). These posts are the most consistent thing on my blog, and writing them helped me get through tough times and through college. So, with that, this week’s quote is… “Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.”
This week’s quote is very special to me. When I think of this quote, I imagine all the times I knew what I wanted, but the obstacles ahead that I knew I would have to face later was discouraging. I related to this quote in dark times and I relate to this quote now that I am graduating. I have high aspirations. I have a bucketlist and a bajillion things I want to accomplish and be. As of right now, I want to take a year or two off to work, focus on YouTube and my blog, and study for the GREs. I hope to go to graduate school, continue to work in companies I believe in, and then eventually become a university professor. These are my aspirations right now. I like to make goals. They are comforting because I feel more directed and “with-purpose” when I have goals. Will I accomplish every single one of them? I don’t know. That’s the beauty of life though. At any moment in time, my dreams, goals, aspirations, interests, and hobbies can change. And the most beautiful part is having the courage to follow my heart and always be growing as a person. I hope you all have a wonderful week. Happy Motivation Monday, brought to you on Tuesday!
